Recirculating
Systems
Recirculating systems are playing an increasingly important role in the
world of aquaculture. These systems are used by both educational and commercial
growers alike throughout the United States. Each of our packages is designed for
years of use and come with all the necessary components needed to start raising fish.
The depletion of natural seafood stock along with the public's increased awareness of fish
being a "health food" makes for a bright outlook on the aquaculture industry.
Education will play an important part in providing the work-force capable of
developing this industry. The following recirculating systems we offer are geared
towards educational and research environments.

The Aqua Farm 1
This compact recirculating system is ideal for educational applications. This system
uses cartridge filters for solids removal. To clean, simply pull cartridges out and
rinse clean and re-install. Very little water is lost with this cleaning system.
After the water passes through the first two filters it then passes through a
double cartridge filter that removes any remaining solidsa and then "polishes"
the water as it passes through the carbon inserts. The water then passes through a
bio-filter before returning back to the tank. The components of this system are
simple and yet rugged enough to provide years of service. For higher densities an
optional four cartridge solids filter is available to increase time between cleanings.
By using the optional UV sterilizer, 99% of disease causing micro organisms are eliminated
as well as green algae cells! The 300 gallon fish tank measures 65" diameter x
30" tall and will fit through a standard doorway.

The Aqua Farm 2
This compact, classroom sized recirculating systme is a hands on learning
tool perfect for the teaching environment. A buble bead filter is used for both
solids removal and bio-filtration. Bead filters provide the finest in filtration for
the best water quality. An aeration system including a linear air compressor, vinyl
tubing and an air duffuser is included.
The 300 gallon fish culture tank measures 30" x 65" and can fit
through a standard doorway. Setup involves drilling a drain hole in tank, installing
a bulkhead fitting and a small amount of plumbing. Entire system fits in a 6' x 8'
area. Package includes a 300 gallon culture tank, all necessary fittings and valves,
a small continuous duty pump and a 1 cubic foot bead filter.

Aqua Farm 3
The Aqua Farm 3 features two growing tanks along with a bead filter for
maximum water clarity. The two 300 gallon growing tanks allow for culture of two
species at the same time and tanks are flat bottomed so no stands are needed. The
up-flow bead filter allows for solids removal and bio-filtration in one unit. An
aeration system is included to maintain opotimum oxygen levels.
Set up is simple. All parts needed are supplied except for a small
amount of pvc pipe. Simply cut drain holes in tank where desired. Install
bulkhead fitting, plumb to water pump and bead filter, then add water! The white
troughs shown are optional hydroponics accessories.
The Aqua Farm 3 requires a small floor size. Fits in less than 8' x
15' area. It will fit through a standard 36" doorway.
